Pay your rent
The rent you pay on your home is used to carry out repairs and improvements to the homes we manage. It also enable us continue to provide a good quality service and invest in future developments.
Paying rent on time
The tenancy agreement says that your rent must be paid weekly and in advance. However, we don’t insist on you paying weekly and are happy for you to pay in the method that is most convenient for you, but you must make sure your rent account does not fall into arrears between your payments. If you opt to pay monthly, your account should be a month in credit when you make your payment; if you pay weekly it should be a week in credit, and so on.
It can be hard to keep track of your money week to week and month to month. The introduction of Universal Credit will mean any payments you receive will be made monthly, meaning you will have to manage your money on a monthly basis. Our Budgeting Form will help you see if your incomings are greater than your outgoings, and if not, contact our Money Matters Team on 01656762582 for assistance.
If you are struggling financially and are in receipt of Housing Benefit, you may be entitled to some help with your rent shortfall. Simply complete the attached DHP Form and submit to BCBC along with the required evidence. If you are successful with your application this will only be for a short period of time and not ongoing.

By recurring card payment
This allows us to collect your rent using your bank card details when you give us permission. Simply call us with your card details: 0300 123 2100
You will receive an email or text as confirmation of your payment.
